Build more with local families. We have volunteer opportunities at our construction sites year round. No experience, tools or skills are necessary to participate – we will show you how!

Construction Day at a Glance:

Join us for a day on a build site! No experience is needed. Our staff site supervisors and trained volunteers will guide you.

  • Volunteer shifts are every other Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Begin the day with a safety orientation
  • Tasks may include:
    - Deconstruction
    - Framing
    - Exterior Trim
    - Siding
    - Painting
    - Trim Carpentry
    - Final Details
    - Landscaping
  • Dress for the weather and pack your own lunch
    - Wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. We provide hard hats and safety glasses.
    - Water, coffee and light snacks are provided.

Age Requirements

Chaperones are required for youth under 18 years old. 16-17 year olds are permitted to assist on most construction sites but are restricted from using power tools or working from a height of six feet or more.

Carpenter's Club

Join the dedicated men and women who are the core of our volunteers. This group helps fill our largest need – regular weekday volunteers. 

This group helps fill our largest need – regular weekday volunteers. Carpenter’s Club includes individuals and small groups who volunteer at least once a month and share their strengths and learn new skills.

Volunteer FAQ

No, you do not need any experience. Our site supervisors will give you all the onsite training you need each day. All skill levels are welcome and appreciated!
