Homeowners partner with us to ensure the home stays affordable for the next homebuyer! Our staff is available to answer any questions you have about the affordability covenant.

Long-term Homeownership

In the Habitat program, we ask homebuyers to partner with us in affordable homeownership. As part of this, homes are required to be resold to a buyer who will occupy the home. This ensures homes are not sold and become rentals.

High-Performance Construction

Sustainable practices at Habitat Northern Muskegon mean going beyond the four walls of a home to reach the critical aspects of a sustainable life—health, affordability, and access. One way we do this is by implementing green building practices. Since 2007, our homes have been Energy Star rated and since 2023 all our homes are all-electric, saving homeowners significantly on their utilities.
